Venus Di’Khadijah Selenite is a Bettering American Poetry 2016 nominee, a two-time Capturing Fire Slam finalist, and has performed at venues such as the Kennedy Center, the White House, Princeton University, and Wellesley College. Her debut book, trigger, made her the first Black trans woman from Louisiana to publish a full-length poetry collection. A goddess of multiple trades, she lives in Washington, D.C. and the Internet.
