Capturing Fire: June 8 – 9, 2018 At Woolly Mammoth Theater

Dear 2018 Capturing Fire Poets & Participants,

We will be holding Capturing Fire during Capital Pride weekend – June 8 & 9, 2018 at Woolly Mammoth Theater.

Capturing Fire, in it’s 8th year, is a celebration of Trans & Queer Spoken Word Poetry. We are grateful to our collaborative partners Split This Rock, Poets & Writers, Beltway Poetry Quarterly, Hot Damn, It’s A Queer Slam, Busboys & Poets, Studio 3440 & The DC Commission for the Arts & Humanities.

This year we will also release our first anthology publication as Capturing Fire Press, as well as debut collections by Brendan Gillett & Kita Marshall.
