Queer, polyamorous, a lot of feelings. Fira is a neuroscience student and poet hailing from Guelph, Ontario. They have been slamming since October 2016, and in that time they have joined the Guelph Poetry Slam team and came 3rd at the regional slam finals Hot Damn it’s a Queer Slam. Their love of slam poetry is forever mixed with their desire to use their own experiences and traumas to connect with those who need to hear they’re not alone. Their main topics of writing include mental illness, stigma, and poly love poems. They have a snake, and three cats, one of which might actually be a bearded dragon.
