Capturing Fire 2018

June 8 – 9, 2018: Poets Bring the Fire to Washington, DC

In partnership with Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company’s production of BOTTICELLI IN THE FIRE (May 28-June 24), on June 8th and 9th Woolly Mammoth will host CAPTURING FIRE, the international queer poetry summit and slam. Led by Artistic Director Regie Cabico, this celebration of trans & queer spoken word encourages allyship, risk-taking, and artistic growth through a series of rousing workshops and performances. This will also be the debut of Capturing Fire Press and its first publication: Stoked Words: An Anthology of Queer Poetry from the Capturing Fire Slam.
